John Scheer

John Scheer has over 15 years of experience producing and and directing award-winning reality-based programming.   As CEO and Executive Producer for KAOS Entertainment, he is instrumental in determining the company's strategic direction.

Now in its tenth year, Scheer together with Rob Englehardt, have grown KAOS Entertainment to become one of the preeminent independent production companies specializing in entertaining unscripted formats for all media platforms.    With a worldwide reputation for striking visuals and compelling storytelling, KAOS programs are featured in primetime by the largest broadcasters in the United States and across the world.

Prior to forming KAOS, Scheer traveled throughout the world working on projects for The Discovery Channel, A&E Network, The History Channel, and HGTV. He produced a number of noted specials for the A&E Network such as "Honor and Glory,” "America's Castles" and "Circus.”   In addition, he was producer/director for the second season of "World of Valor" on The Discovery Channel.

Scheer also worked at The Discovery Channel where he was responsible for overseeing original production, as well as program development.

An award-winning producer, Scheer has won and has been nominated for a host of awards that include the Cable ACE Award, New York Film Festival, CINDY Award, and the Houston International Film Festival.    He is also an active member of the Directors Guild and the Television Academy.

John lives in Los Angeles with his family and is a 1985 graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology.
